It is effective against viruses, bacteria, protozoa, and particulate, meeting U.S. EPA drinking water standards and NSF protocol P231 testing standard.

Unlike other purifiers, it is iodine-free, using Aquatabs tablets to inactivate viruses without bad-tasting iodine.

The system includes 50 individually packaged tablets, each treating up to 2 quarts of water depending on conditions.

The filter's durable ceramic/carbon element ensures safe, taste-free water, and it can be cleaned repeatedly for full flow recovery with no tools required, making it a field-maintainable option.
