What's the difference between "rent" and "demo"?
The "rent" route is for a minimum of two days and includes gear that has been rented out in the past. The "demo" route is a 3-day rental period featuring new or like-new equipment. Both options come with two extra days at no additional cost — one for day of pickup and one for day of return — in order to make your rental experience easier.
Is the "rent" route or "demo" route right for me?
Choose to "rent" if you’re looking to enjoy quality gear without committing to a purchase. Choose to "demo" if you’re considering buying but want to test the gear first to be sure it’s the right fit for you.
Can I buy my gear after my rent/demo reservation is complete?
Yes! You can apply the cost of your rental as a credit toward purchasing the gear you just rented. For example, if a tent rental costs $35 and the regular purchase price is $100, you’d pay $65 to keep it.
Why is the "demo" more expensive than a 3-day "rent"?
Demo gear is brand new or like new, making it a great option for those focused on buying but wanting to try before they commit. Since it can’t be resold at full price after use, the cost is higher. Rental gear, however, has already been used and can be rented multiple times, allowing us to keep the cost to you lower.
